The full list of finalists and honorable mentions follows. IGF prizes total $60,000 across categories, with $30,000 for the Grand Prize. The awards ceremony will be held during GDC on March 4, and will precede the Game Developers Choice Awards. (The full list of panelists is available on the IGF website.) The audio panel includes, among others, Campo Santo’s Chris Remo, Journey composer Austin Wintory, and Plants vs. The former includes Funomena’s Robin Hunicke, Spelltower creator Zach Gage, Gunpoint creator Tom Francis, and others. Over 650 titles were entered for consideration, with specialist juries assembled for the Excellence in Design and Excellence in Audio Awards. The main competition contenders will be available for play at this year’s Game Developer’s Conference from March 4 through 6.
As Lumi is in the process of making tea, she suddenly hears someone breaking in and taking Grandad away, who tells her to go to the city before his kidnapping. But before Grandad shares on what had happened, he asks for a cup of tea and says that he wants to show Lumi a book.
The game starts right where Lume left off, with Grandad about to tell Lumi about what happened at the village. Join her quest to find her Grandad as she explores the unusual yet beautiful Lumino City and tries to find out more of her Grandad's mysterious life along the way. Following the events after Lume, Lumi embarks on another journey to get back her Grandad after being captured.
